グラミー賞2020 ノミネート速報〜挾間美帆『ダンサー・イン・ノーホエア』/『環境音楽 1980-1990』

今回、挾間美帆『ダンサー・イン・ノーホエア』が「34.ベスト・ラージ・ジャズ・アンサンブル・アルバム」にノミネートされた。自身のm_unitに、リオーネル・ルエケ、ネイト・スミスをゲストに迎えてのサードアルバム(全メンバーはこの記事の下へ)。ニューヨークを拠点に世界で活躍する”ジャズ作曲家”挾間美帆の近況については、ノースシー・ジャズ・フェスティバル、メトロポール・オーケストラのライブレポートをご参照いただきたい。なお、以前、挾間が一部編曲を担当した『If You Really Want / Raul Midón With The Metropole Orkest Conducted By Vince Mendoza』が、グラミー賞最優秀ジャズヴォーカルアルバムにノミネートされたことがある。


「68.ベスト・ヒストリカル・アルバム」では、『環境音楽 KANKYO ONGAKU: JAPANESE AMBIENT, ENVIRONMENTAL & NEW AGE MUSIC 1980-1990』がノミネートされた。Spencer Doranがキュレートし、坂本龍一、細野晴臣、久石譲、清水靖晃、イエローマジック・オーケストラ、イノヤマランド、吉村弘を含む25曲が収録されている。

神野秀雄 Hideo Kanno 福島県出身。東京大学理学系研究科生物化学専攻修士課程修了。保原中学校吹奏楽部でサックスを始め、福島高校ジャズ研から東京大学ジャズ研へ。『キース・ジャレット/マイ・ソング』を中学で聴いて以来のECMファン。東京JAZZ 2014で、マイク・スターン、ランディ・ブレッカーとの”共演”を果たしたらしい。
