録音された年代から考えると、止むを得ないが、クリアーに録っているという思考から聴けば、重要な音源。ピアノの近接録音に金属的な刺激が少なく、当時として配慮の利いたマイキングと言える。ベースも同様。うなりの低音の聴かせどころに重量感を伴って、これはと耳を傾ける。ドラムのシャープさに勢いがあって、当時はこのような録り方が平常だった気がする。トリオの音源を一つ一つ、近接、重ねた音源はモノラル時代のミックスを知る。
